Connect Two JBLs: The brand has technology to connect multiple devices to play the same sound simultaneously. Could you find out how it works? You know that meeting with friends or that family barbecue where the sound could be louder, but you can’t solve it with your sound box?
If you have more than one device, it is possible to connect the two (or more of them) to reproduce the same audio with a single Bluetooth connection and make a sound system through the Party Boost feature or JBL Connect to enhance the range. The technology allows you to connect up to 100 branded speakers depending on the model. Learn more about this feature and connect two JBLs or more to enjoy sound at full power.
And remember to add the JBL speaker model that’s been eyeing yours.
What Is JBL Connect or Party Boost?
JBL speakers have a communication protocol allowing two or more devices to play the same audio simultaneously with a single Bluetooth connection. The name of this feature is JBL Connect or JBL Connect+. The first is present in devices of previous generations, where connecting only one more JBL box was possible. The second, JBL Connect+ (or Party Boost), allows connection between up to 100 Bluetooth speakers simultaneously and is available on newer devices.
If you don’t know how to identify which one your speaker uses, just check its body. Older ones come with an hourglass-shaped button next to the physical buttons. The most recent ones have the same button, only with a plus symbol (+) next to it or the representation of infinity.
That fun moment accompanied by powerful audio is not for everyone, right? But it’s for the JBL Xtreme 3 Sound Box, a water and drop-resistant device with the power of 2x 25W RMS that will take your fun to another level!
Bluetooth allows you to connect the speaker to various compatible devices to ensure you can play your favorite music from anywhere. Check below which models are present in each generation.
Devices With JBL Connect:
- JBL Flip 3
- JBL Pulse 2
- JBL Xtreme
- JBL Charge 3 (allows upgrade to latest)
Devices With JBL Connect+:
- JBL Flip 4, Flip 5 and Flip 6;
- JBL Xtreme 2 and JBL Xtreme 3;
- JBL Pulse 3 and JBL Pulse 4;

It is important to note that they can only connect with the same technology support. For example, you cannot connect JBL Pulse 2 with JBL Boombox 3 as they are of different generations.
How To Connect Two JBLs or More
Connecting two or more JBLs is a very simple process. Even if they have models from different generations, the step-by-step is the same. First, you need the JBL Connect app installed on your cell phone. The application is free and available for Android. It is iOS. Once installed, you must turn on your box and connect the first one normally by pressing the Bluetooth icon on your speaker. The app will automatically recognize the connection.
To integrate the other devices into the sound system you are creating, simply turn on the next JBL speaker and press the Connect or Connect+ button (represented by the hourglass or infinity) on both. After that, if you want to connect other speakers, just press the Connect button until they are synchronized in a single connection. In the application, it is possible to choose between the “party” mode for them to play together, or you can play the sound in stereo for greater immersion in the environment.
Ready? Your sound system will be working normally. Thus, you can spread the devices around the room and enjoy the sound at full power. And the best, if more people take their speakers, just repeat the process to integrate all of them.
